I couldn't think of a better way to launch Cafe 80's than to post this knock down drag out homage to 80's action films.
It was about this time 5 years ago that Kung Fury came blasting into our conscientiousness & its beloved by so many people. It's an English-language Swedish martial arts action comedy short film written and directed by David Sandberg. It pays homage to 1980's martial arts and police action films. The film stars Sandberg in the title role, Jorma Taccone, Leopold Nilsson, and a cameo appearance by David Hasselhoff and its BRILLIANT!
If you have never seen it before and are just about too I envy you and with a fantastic synthwave soundtrack to accompany it with such luminaries as Betamaxx, Highway Superstar & Mitch Murder it's the perfect way to shut off from the world for 30mins!
Kung Fury II is to premiere this year....fingers crossed!
